We will ensure that artists are actively involved in the stewardship of the organization with a board that is at least 50% artists. Most artists, especially performance artists, are not able to financially contribute with board dues as they simply don’t have disposable income. Nonprofits, on the other hand, are partly dependent on board fees to be able to pay for programming and staff. Substituting individual donations with board dues will allow us to invite more non-paying board members to the board.
