Queer|Art Summit: Becoming What We Practice
Celebration
- November 20-22
Tickets available soon!
Throughout our history and throughout the 2026/2027 season, we continue to work alongside organizations, cultural workers, and arts workers in New York and abroad in an attempt to create a more collaborative and non-competitive performance ecosystem.
In celebration of Queer|Art|Mentorship’s 15-year anniversary, Queer|Art is bringing together artists, arts workers, scholars, and organizers for a multi-day summit on community practices and the state of queer artistry in times of crisis. Following Alexis Pauline Gumbs’ inquiry “What are the intergenerational and evolutionary ways that we become what we practice?”, the Summit will bring together a polyphonic chorus of queer and trans voices, spanning generations, geographies, and creative lineages, to understand what emerges when we consider the “we” with care, imagination, and collaboration. The Summit will include a 15-year anniversary celebration, awards ceremony, and collectively curated program of panels, presentations, and hands-on workshops.
QUEER|ART is a non-profit arts organization serving a diverse and vibrant community of LGBTQ+ artists across generations and disciplines. QUEER|ART provides intergenerational mentorship, public programming, and material support to shape culture and drive societal change.
