Join Performance Space 122, God’s Love We Deliver, Research Foundation to Cure AIDS and The Suzanne Geiss Company for an evening of art and conversation…
A Generation Lost: What is the role of contemporary artists in response to the AIDS epidemic?
Starting with a private showing of “Keith Haring: Bombs and Dogs”
presented by Jeffrey Deitch and Suzanne Geiss at 76 Grand Street in Soho from 6-7PM
and continuing with a Long Table formatted discussion and refreshments
at God’s Love We Deliver, 166 6th Avenue in Soho from 7-9PM
The Long Table format was developed by artist Lois Weaver and experiments with participation and public engagement by re-appropriating a dinner table atmosphere as a public forum, and encouraging informal conversations on serious topics. The event centers around a 15-foot table surrounded by 12 chairs encouraging anyone and everyone to take turns asking questions, spark debate, listen, or share ideas.
