Cap the night off with drinks and revelry at the official festival spot, The Lounge. Under the Radar, COIL, PROTOTYPE and American Realness festivals come together for the first time to bring an eclectic mix of adventurous music, cabaret performances and late night offerings for our intrepid audiences and festival artists.

Featuring performing artists Invincible, Champagne Jerry, M. Lamar, Christeene, Chris Tyler, Nick Hallett, Elizaveta & many more…with an evening dedicated to the life of Spalding Gray and a special presentation of the 2014 Spalding Gray Award.

 invincible_webInvincible is a Detroit based lyricist, activist, media maker, and member of Complex Movements artist collective exploring the connections between complex science and social movements.
DJ Rimarkable is a renaissance woman and a member of the all female-DJ squad, Ubiquita Worldwide Soundsystem. She has shared bills with Meshell Ndegeocello, Les Nubians and Toshi Reagon.

 champagne-jerry_web Champagne Jerry is a rap act, a performance art piece and all of your dreams coming true simultaneously.

 m-lamar_webM. Lamar’s music draws from the negro spiritual, fuses piano styles from classical to dissonant black metal and is completed with unique operatic vocals. Lamar’s sound makes one think the world might end right then and there.
CHRISTEENE is a sexually-infused sewer of unclassifiable musical stylings and vile shamelessness, commanding a stage presence of furious intensity and burnt offerings.

 ethan-lipton_webThe Obie-winning, nationally-touring Ethan Lipton & his Orchestra will play the songs that have made them “New York’s Best Lounge Act” (New York magazine).
A product of the Hiphop 80s, 90s Euro Dance, and Daddy’s Motown Sundays, PK is a musician and multidisciplinary artist from Rotterdam, the Netherlands. He is known for his characteristic ability to find connections where there are no obvious ones, strong sense of improvisation, and experimental endeavors.

 heather-christian_webWith a special presentation of the Spalding Gray Award by Performance Space 122, On the Boards, the Warhol Museum and Walker Art Center.
Heather Christian is the daughter of a blues musican and a go-go dancer. Primarily a songstress with her chamber-punk orchestra Heather Christian & the Arbornauts, she can be seen regularly at Joe’s Pub and Rockwood Music Hall.
The Spalding Gray Award is a special commission in Spalding’s honor that supports gifted playwrights or performers whose work continues on in the legacy of Spalding, a fearless innovator of theatrical form. The SGA is supported by Kathleen Russo, his widow, Performance Space 122 in New York, the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, The Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh and Seattle’s On the Boards. Recipients of the SGA receive a commission and full presentation of new work in an upcoming season at each of the partners’ theaters.

WOAHMONE serves up an arty mix of dance music and visuals.

AndrewAndrew are a New York-based creativity team working behind the scenes and in front of large crowds since 1999.

 elizavita_web Elizaveta mixes opera, pop, jazz and soul, stir in some beats, flawless live looping, and creates an experience that truly transports the audience.
The “extravagantly transgressive tenor,” Timur will preview selections from Collapse, a post-ecological requiem about the environmental catastrophes caused by humans.
Danny Taylor aka A Village Raid has worked with the likes of Performa, The Spectrum and 280 Washington and The New York Mix Experimental Film Festival. He has DJ’d globally from Brazil to Berlin.

Soundsystem juxtaposes traditional Colombian percussion, drum-set, synthesizers, electric base, guitar and sizzling horns, to create an explosive performance filled with unshakable grooves. M.A.K.U. talks about the realities of everyday people, encompassing love, hardships, culture, and the immigrant experience. DJ ACIDOPHILUS keeps the beats going all night.

Uniting experimental performers from NYC’s queer underground, this performance art variety show “reenacts” episodes of MTV’s Total Request Live in the most disastrous way imaginable.

 gospel-choirThe Middle Church Jerriese Johnson Gospel Choir (MCJJGC), has has sung with Debbie Harry and been featured on the “Today Show” and “Good Morning America.” Their repertoire, rooted in gospel music, also includes a wide range of musical genres.
Armed with twin tube-powered classroom record players and only original vinyl, The Vintage DJ spins early and mid-twentieth century killer classics and forgotten gems.
